Eliminate Water From Date Code Application
When a customer tried to apply a date code to bagged chicken, water on the exterior of the bag caused the label to be un-readable. The chicken picked up the water from the conveyor on which it was transported. The existing blow-off consisted of one nozzle that was not placed correctly in the application. Model 110003SS 3" (76mm) Stainless Steel Super Air Knife is the product that provided a wide enough blow-off area to allow for the date coding to be applied without error. The positioning of the blow-off station was also changed to be just prior to the labeler so that the position of the blown area was maintained for the date coding to occur. The Model 110003SS totally eliminated the smeared labeling that was occurring.
