Eliminating Fiberglass Dust Prior To Painting
The customer manufactures the large fiberglass housings for engine compartments of 18 wheeler tractors. They experience a problem with leftover fiberglass after they do finish sanding of the fiberglass body to get it ready for paint. They have a very difficult time blowing off the fiberglass because of all the static generated during the sanding process. Anything they do now to remove dust just promotes more sticking. This is a problem that affects the surface finish of the final product. With a Model 8293 Ion Air Gun and power supply, the customer is now able to eliminate the static buildup on the housing and blow away the dust after sanding to make for an easier and faster cleaning process.
