Eliminating Static On Greeting Cards
Cardmaker has a system that places glitter on to greeting cards that have been pre-glued to attract the glitter to the glued surfaces. The glitter runs through an application and vacuum system and produces high static charges. They had previously tried using wet rags to hang in the system to increase humidity and decrease static build up which does work but for only short periods of time and it is also messy to cleanup the rags. The glitter clumps up if the static is not dealt with and it creates an unacceptable appearance on the greeting card. We have recommended a combination of Ion Points and Ion Bars placed in the system to keep the system running full time and eliminating the static.
