Full Flow Air Knives Keep Boxes Clean For Packaging And Transport
A leaf tobacco merchant was using a series of fans to blow off large boxes of product, prior to final packaging. Any scrap product still on the box would negatively affect the banding operation, and necessitate further cleanup through their warehouse and trucks, as this fell off during transport. The fans had to be run continuously, were loud, and not 100% effective at removing all the scrap. The customer installed a series of Model 2830 30" (762mm) Aluminum Full-Flow Air Knife Kits, automating the flow to only activate when a box was present. This has resulted in 100% clean boxes, and greatly reduced their time sweeping the warehouse and truck trailer floors.
