Ion Air Cannon Eliminates Debris In Parts Bins
This customer has a large amount of polymer based parts bins which his finished parts are placed in before shipping to their customers. They were receiving complaints from their customers about too much debris on the parts from the bins and surface finish defects. The bins are cleaned at an off-site warehouse where the operators state they only blow them out. They inspected the cleaned bins and noticed that by blowing them with a regular air gun simply moves the debris around. Since static charge was suspected, they installed a series of Model 8292 Ion Air Cannon Systems to blow out the inside and the outside of the bins as they are pushed down a roller line. This not only eliminated the debris but it also reduced his operators time spent blowing off each bin.
