Ion Air Cannon Prevents Operator Shock
A manufacturer of plastic strapping and strapping machinery systems recycles their scrap plastic from the strap manufacturing process. They vacuum and transport the scrap plastic into tubs and gaylords. From the bulk containers they move the scrap plastic into the production hoppers to mix with virgin material. All of this transporting and moving of the plastic results in a static buildup within the tubs and hoppers. The personnel had been getting shocked from the static buildup inside of the tubs when they reposition the transport tube or move the tubs. EXAIR provided a solution with the Model 8492 Ion Air Cannon which flooded the inside area of the tub and reduced the static level as the plastic was emptied from the tub and has stopped the operators from getting shocked.
