Ionizing Bar Improves Box Labeling Process
Food packaging company was experiencing wrinkled/damaged labels due to static. Cardboard boxes pass down the conveyor line where a mechanical arm with air vacuum holds a label in place. As the box passes a sensor the arm applies the label to the box and a brush wipes the label to assure it is firmly applied. The labels would wrinkle due to static. A Model 8006 6" (152mm) Ionizing Bar, mounted vertically on the side of the conveyor, effectively removed the static charge, preventing further label disruptions.
