Line Vac Conveys Glue Pellets In Fully Automated Assembly System
This customer had an automated system to assemble handles onto knives with glue. The only manual part of the process entailed loading the machine with glue pellets. To automate this part, a Model 6082 1 1/4" (32mm) Line Vac was installed to vacuum transfer the glue pellets from a centrally located super sack, up into individual feed hoppers at each work station. A series of slide valves actuated by a vision system ensures that individual work stations' feed hoppers are kept full, and now the system is fully automated.
