Line Vac Removes drilled Sand from a Sand Casting Operation

A leading manufacturer of large construction and mining equipment was trying to clean up their sand casting operation. After producing the green sand mold, they do some secondary work on the green sand. One of these secondary operations is a drilling operation. The drill produces a good deal of sand and they wanted to eliminate any of the waste sand that was currently falling on the ground or around the mold area. EXAIR recommended a Model 6062 1-1/4" (32mm) stainless steel Line Vac to provide some vacuum right at the drilling operation to grab the sand and move it into a central hopper. This allows them to quickly move the bulk sand and use it in future molds as well as keeping the surroundings cleaner.
