Line Vac Removes Punched Slugs
An Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of automated assembly machines has implemented an EXAIR Model 6961-10 1" (25mm) Stainless Steel Line Vac Kit with 10' of transfer hose to handle scrap material. The assembly machine is punching holes in a 23 gage steel strip which is 15mm wide. The slugs need to be removed from the punch press and transferred to a bulk hopper for later disposal. The Line Vac provided a small footprint and effective removal of the slugs while keeping the air consumption and cost to a minimum.
