Mini Cooler Cools Diamond Tool
A manufacturer of contact lenses uses a diamond tool to cut the lens material. The diamond tool can heat up and affect the quality of the finished lens. The purchased an EXAIR Model 3808 Mini Cooler to provide cold air across the cutting operation and prevent the diamond tool from building up too much heat and affecting the finished lens. The Cooler met two requirements of the customer: 1. that it was a small footprint and had a flexible cold air outlet 2. that the Mini Cooler did not use a lot of air. This product uses only 8 SCFM at 100 PSIG inlet compressed air.
