Removing Static from Bagging Machine
Company is a machine builder. They built a coffee bagging machine for their customer who began experiencing fill problems when the dry winter months came around. Static charges were diverting coffee grounds from the bag causing them to to spill over the side of the bag. Installing the Model 112106 6" (152mm) Super Ion Air Knife System at the bag opening station, the Ion Air Knife provided air to open the bag as well as remove static charges. Having solved the static issues, they were able to get a clean fill like they did when they first delivered the machine in the summer when the air was humid and there was not a static build up.
