Removing Static from Machining Operation
Company machines composite materials for the aerospace industry. When they machine composite materials, static build up causes the shavings to cling to everything and the vacuum system cannot pick it up. Directing the ionized air flow from the Model 8194-9362 Stay Set Ion Air Jet onto the tool, this customer was able to eliminate static cling and direct the shavings into the vacuum collection system. This provided a cleaner work station. Also the air provided cooling for the tool.
