Removing Trapped Water from Tight Spaces Improves Productivity
Company manufactures jet engine parts which are made of titanium sheet and titanium honeycomb bonded together to provide strength. The honeycomb is 1/8" wide per cell and approximately 3/8" deep. During the washing and rinsing process of the parts, the honeycomb traps water inside of the cells. They have been trying to tap out the water but still do not get enough water removed while damaging some of the parts. They have chosen an EXAIR Model HP1125 2" (51mm) High Power Super Air Nozzle and a Model 9040 Foot Pedal to install at the cleaning station to provide a high force blow out of the small honeycomb cells. This method has proven successful and increased the production of the parts while decreasing labor.
