Saving Energy and Increasing Production
Company does contract machining. They have a parts washer that is taking too long to dry the parts because water puddles up on the top surfaces of the parts. The majority of the parts are dry except for these puddles. As the parts are moved out of the washer, puddles spill onto the part and re-wet them. Mounting a Model 110030SS 30" (762mm) Stainless Steel Super Air Knife over the top of the parts inside the washer the puddles were removed and the time to dry the parts was cut in half. Along with increased production, the cost of the energy to produce the heat was reduced in half.
