Static Control on Thermoformed Tanks

Customer manufactures water and chemical tanks. The thermoforming operation generates static electricity. When they trim cut the openings, plastic shavings fall inside. The static electricity holds the particles to the walls inside, making it almost impossible to get them out. The Model 6064 2" (51mm) Stainless Steel Line Vac was installed on one opening providing a vacuum flow through the tank. The Model 8294 Ion Air Jet was installed in the other opening and blew ionized air into the tank and neutralizing static charges. Now the shavings no longer stick to the sides and the vacuum flow was able to evacuate them from the tank.
