Static Elimination Aids in Debris Removal

A candy company needs to remove peanuts from their shells before they can be put in the candy mixtures. The shells are separated from the peanuts then conveyed to a disposal bin. Because of static generated from the shells bouncing around on the conveyor, pieces of the shells remain on the conveyor as it rotates. A Model 8018 18" (457mm) Ion Bar will eliminate the static charge, allowing the shell crumbs to fall into the bin, without having the air assist of the Super Ion Air Knife, which could cause the shell pieces to blow everywhere because they are so lightweight.
