Static Eliminator Improves Labeling Process

The customer does contract labeling on empty plastic containers. The customer can apply labels to the bottles using any one of a variety of physical contact methods such as brushes and specialized squeegees. The problem is that they cannot get consistent results depending on who sets up a job. If the label is pressed in too hard, it will leave a crease in the bottle and label thus making it scrap. Scrap rate is 8–9%. Using the Model 112206 6" (152mm) Super Ion Air Knife Kit, the customer was able to make for easy, non-contact label application. And set up is easy and does not have to be so precise. So, any one of their technicians can set it up with success. Scrap rate was reduced to less than 1%.
