Static Eliminators Prevent Nuisance Shocks, Improve Safety In Fiberglass Manufacturing Operation

This manufacturer of lightweight fiberglass truck bodies makes their fiberglass "from scratch" into 3-5" thick hollow walls, filled with insulating foam. This process results in a tremendous static charge generated on the outer surfaces. Problems ranged from nuisance shocks to the inability to remove dust completely from the parts and molds. After installing a series of Model 8194 Ion Air Jets and 7960 Power Supplies, they were able to eliminate the nuisance shocks completely, and greatly reduce the amount of time it took to wipe down the panels and molds. The result is a safer, more efficient manufacturing line.
