Super Air Knife Cools and Pushes Cling Wrap Onto Chilled Roller

This customer has a slow cast extruder line that extrudes cling wrap. They were using a blower driven air knife to blow the film onto a chilled roll which is then pulled to the next step in the process. The flow from the blower knife, however, was not consistent, and they were getting debris on the wrap, which was, of course, unacceptable, quality-wise. They installed a Super Air Knife to replace the blower system. This allowed them to better aim the laminar sheet of air and get closer to his operation because the footprint of the Super Air Knife was considerably smaller. The particulate was also minimized because the Super Air Knife uses clean, dry compressed air to blow the cling wrap onto the roller.
