Super Air Knife Cools Freshly Glazed Doughnuts
This customer makes glazed doughnuts. When the glaze is applied to the doughnuts, it is warm and fluid. Due to the implementation of a time-saving improvement process, the glazing operation had to be moved closer to where the doughnuts came out of the ovens. Because they were still hot, the glaze would become runny, and flow off the doughnut. (2) Model 110060SS 60" (1524mm) Stainless Steel Super Air Knives were installed: one to cool the doughnuts as they left the oven, and one to cool the donut after the glazing operation. This resulted in clean and even application of the glaze.
