Super Air Knife Floats Packaging Between Two Conveyor Sections
A national pizza restaurant manufactures the pizza dough which is sent out to the local stores. The dough is made, frozen and then packaged into large bulk boxes for shipping. The empty boxes run down a conveyor line and meet up with the dough for packaging. At one particular point, there is a gap between two sections of conveyor where the customer had installed a homemade air knife to "float" the boxes over the gap. This was loud, and used an excessive amount of compressed air, so they replaced it with a Model 110024 24" (610mm) Super Air Knife. This kept the packaging operation running as smooth as ever, while reducing both the air consumption and noise levels.
