Super Air Knife Removes Water From Parts in Basket
A customer who manufactures electrical contact products from powdered metal has a cleaning and rinsing process for the parts once they are formed. The parts are packed into a basket which is 18" square and 6" tall. This basket is hooked on to a small lift which raises and lowers it into the rinse tank to remove the cleaning solutions from the part. Any water left on the part leaves a water spot and they would like to minimize the spots on the final product. They have installed two EXAIR Model 110018 18" (457mm) Super Air Knives on each side of the rinse tank. They activate the Super Air Knives when parts are lifted out of the rinse tank to remove the residual rinse water. They have successfully reduced the amount of water spots on the final product.
