Super Air Knives Replace Mechanical Wipers In Extrusion Process
This customer makes an extruded plastic film. After running it through a cooling tank, they were using rubber wipers to remove the excess coolant, but these would wear out, and would frequently blemish the surface of the finished film. They installed two Model 110236 36" (914mm) Aluminum Super Air Knife Kits in place of the rubber wipers. The laminar curtain of air flow that the Super Air Knives produced was able to quickly and easily remove the excess coolant without affecting the film surface, and eliminated the need to frequently replace the rubber wipers.
