Super Air Wipe Contains Atomized Coating

A manufacturer of tubes has a finishing process which applies an atomized coating on the outside of the tubes. The tubes are coated in a small booth with an entrance and exit. Since the tubes are moving at 300 feet per minute, they are creating an airflow out of the coating booth. This airflow captures some of the atomized coating and carries outside of the booth. This created a mess and needed to be contained. The customer has chosen an Model 2406 6" (152mm) Super Air Wipe and mounted it to the exit hole on the coating booth. The Air Wipe is set to run at a very low pressure, just enough to overcome the airflow produced by the travel of the tubes. This keeps the atomized coating within the coating booth and removed the housekeeping issue.
