Super Ion Air Knife Eliminates Static In X-ray film Application

The customer manufactures X-ray film and was having a very difficult time with static causing defects in their product due to constant sparks forming when the charges from moving the material became too high. The result was film that had many little specks in it which rendered it useless for medical applications. To avoid the problem before, the customer had to run their process at very slow line speeds. Customer used Model 112018 18" (457mm) Super Ion Air Knife and Model 7960 Power Supply to blow onto the film during processing. By eliminating static in their process, the customer was able to increase their line speed from 80 ft. /min. to 120 ft. /min., a 50% increase in production.
