Tool Cooling - carbide cutters

Company manufactures carbide cutting tools. Their carbide cutters are only lasting one shift and they cannot get the production rates required. The cooling provided by the Model 5215 Cold Gun allowed them to increase feed rates and the tools now are lasting a month.

  1. The Cold Gun Aircoolant System (available in standard or high power versions) produces a stream of clean, cold air at 50°F (28°C) below supply air temperature. It will remove heat to prolong tool life and increase productivity on machining operations when liquid coolants cannot be used. Systems include the Cold Gun, flexible single point hose assembly and drain filter separator.

  2. The Cold Gun Aircoolant System with two cold outlets surrounds a part to be cooled with a stream of clean, cold air at 50°F (28°C) below supply air temperature. It will remove heat to prolong tool life and increase productivity on machining operations when liquid coolants cannot be used. Systems include the Cold Gun, flexible dual point hose assembly and filter separator.
