Vacuum Transfer of Defective Product

At an inspection station the operators pick out defective blueberries across a 3’ wide conveyor belt. It is difficult for the operators to reach across the conveyor and some defective product is getting missed. Using a Model 6292 Vac-u-Gun with an extension wand, the operator was able to get to the hard to reach areas without missing any defective product. Another advantage is that operator did not have to manually discard the berries. Eliminating this step they were able to speed the belt up 10% without missing any defective product.
