Air Amplifier Cools Welded Parts Before Leak Test

A manufacturer of automotive air coolers has a mig welding operation. The mig weld is applied on a rotary indexing table with eight stations. The cycle time on the indexing table is approximately 20 minutes from load to unload. The parts remained too hot for the next step in production, a leak test. This was holding up production. They fixed the problem by installing (4) Model 120022 2" (51mm) Super Air Amplifiers on the indexing table. The Air Amplifiers provided the air flow to remove additional heat as the parts moved through the welding process. They could immediately be moved to the leak test and production increased.
