Blowing Off Steel Shot
Customer manufactures tractors. They take steel rolls and run them through a leveler. Prior to the leveler they shot peen to clean them up. Coming out of the blaster they need to get all the shot off the sheet before it goes through the pinch rolls of the leveler. Otherwise the shot is pressed into the metal causing a defect. Mounting a Model 110036 36" (914mm) Super Air Knife over the exit of the blaster, they were not only able to clear the sheet of steel shot, but were also able to direct it back into the blaster. They eliminated surface defects, clean up, and lost shot.
