Cooling a Cutting Blade Prevents Melted Film

A guillotine style knife is cutting a pvc film to length, the film is being placed on a roll. The knife blade heats up from the cutting operation and eventually reaches a point where it melts the film. When the film melts, it causes film blocking or the inability to pull the film from the roll stock. They have chosen an EXAIR Model 3225 Vortex Tube to exhaust cold air through a drilled channel in the knife to keep the knife cool as it cuts.
