Cooling a Friction Weld on CV Joints
An automotive power train company is using Model 3825 Adjustable Spot Cooler in their friction welding process. They friction weld CV joints together. This welding causes a red hot weld curl that is removed by an insert. The red hot weld curl has caused trouble when it falls into other mechanisms of the machinery.
