Cooling and Cleaning Grinding Wheels
Company is a distributor of abrasive wheels. Their customer form grinds ceramic parts prior to firing. They are having problems with the grinding wheel loading up. This requires a wheel dressing several times a shift. This reduces the life of the grinding wheel and adds labor to perform a special "form dressing". Installing a Model 1122 2" (51mm) Super Air Nozzle and directing the air flow to the point of grind effectively removed particulate from the grinding wheel, reducing wheel dressing to once a shift. This increased the life of the wheel 500% as well as eliminating downtime during the shift. At the start of the next shift the operator would have the wheel dressed and was good for the rest of the shift.
