Cooling Weight Sensor
Customer manufactures weigh sensors. They have a weigh sensor installed on an aluminum smelting ladle. Heat shielding has not been successful in protecting the electronics from radiant heat coming off the molten aluminum. Installing a shroud around the sensor, cold air from the Model 3230 Vortex Tube was introduced, providing a cooling jacket around the sensitive electronics. Heat failures and inaccurate readings were eliminated.
