Eliminating Water Bath Test
Customer makes air brakes. They were testing their accumulator tanks under water. While this was an excellent test, the parts had to be dried before sending them to paint. This added a baking operation with the associated energy and labor costs. Using a Model 9061 Ultrasonic Leak Detector they were able to detect leaks without a water bath. This eliminated the bake off operation and saved them $5,000 in natural gas charges.
