Standard Air Knife Eliminates Coolant Dripping
A manufacturer of large area milling and drilling machines needed a solution to prevent coolant from dripping onto machine operators. The large area machines use a plastic curtain to contain the coolant during the machining process. Once the machining is complete, the curtain raises up to allow access to the parts. The coolant on the curtain continued to drip on the operators and machine beds once it was lifted up. EXAIR provided a Model 2048 48" (1219mm) Standard Air Knife to blow off the coolant from the curtain as it was raised up. The coolant was successfully removed, eliminating the dripping problem.
