Vortex Tube Cools Chemical Vial and Seals in Product

A large manufacturer of weed control chemicals for agriculture is filling 5 milliliter vials with a warm chemical gel. The chemical gel is at 40°C when filling the vial. The gel sets up at 38°C. The customer needed to cool only the top layer of the gel to create a seal in the vial and prevent the gel from spilling out. EXAIR's small Model 3208 8SCFM Vortex Tube was used to create the skin on top of the chemical by blowing 30°F air onto the surface of the chemical, preventing any spillage.
